Big Bale Mulcher 160
Our new smaller unit that does not require a CDL to drive.
The BBM 160 is a smaller version of our BBM 200. This machine also only requires a two man crew and can discharge straw 100 feet in still air just like the BBM 200. The BBM 160 utilizes a gas engine instead of the Tier 4 diesel engine. It does not require a CDL to drive the truck because even when the machine is loaded with material it is below the 26,000lb weight limit.
Stored Bale Capacity: up to 4000 lbs.
Deck can be loaded with 3×3 and 3×4 bales.
4×4 bales and round bales are not compatible with this machine.
Machine Specifications:
Engine: Ford Gas V8 6.2 Liter 160 Hp with 11” double disc PTO clutch.
Engine Control: Electronic control with self-diagnostics. Automatic shutdown for low oil pressure or high water temperature.
Fuel & Battery: One truck battery is used and a separate saddle tank is available.
Blower: 32” diameter, single plane dynamically balanced, six blade fan rotating at 2200 rpm.
Range: Up to 100 feet in still air
Conveyor Feed: 8’5” wide by 9’5″ long hydraulically powered conveyor bed that moves at 0 to 3 feet per minute.
Beater Bar: One 8’ by 24” pipe that is dual plane dynamically balanced. The bar is driven by two hydraulic motors at 200 rpm.
Discharge Chute: Mounted on a ball bearing with 220 degrees of rotation and 70 degrees of hydraulically driven vertical travel.
Frame: Heavy duty 8” channel.
Operator Station: Adjustable padded seat with seat belt mounted on discharge chute. Controls include: beater bar, conveyor bed, PTO clutch, engine rpm, engine emergency shutdown, beater bar jam indicator light, and horn.
Operator Safety: Emergency shutdown button and all controls are within easy operator reach. All spinning objects are properly shielded.
Drives: Blower fan is belt driven. Conveyor bed, beater bar, and engine cooling fan are all hydraulically driven.
